Linen Union Fabric

Linen Union fabric is linen yarn that has been blended with cotton, viscose or other fibres to make the fabric suppler and more crease resistant than pure linen; which although strong can be very stiff and lacking in suppleness for soft draping curtains. Linen union fabric works well for loose covers and cushions although it is advisable to pre -wash as shrinkage of about 5% will occur.

You will always get a soft tailored look with linen union fabric and it lends itself well to being interlined which adds body and gives the sumptuous look you can see this in the lifestyle shot of the Les Chinoise red fabric. The drapes are interlined with heavy bump and have a 5 inch buckram triple pinch pleat heading.
